1/2 cup plain yogurt

2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste (optional)

1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves (optional)

1/4 cup chopped fresh mint leaves (optional)

2 tablespoons biryani masala powder

1 teaspoon red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon garam masala

1 bay leaf

4-5 whole cloves

4-5 green cardamom pods

1-inch cinnamon sticks

1-2 Mace (Javitri)

1-2 Star Anises (Chakraphool)

4 cups water

2 tablespoons ghee or vegetable oil

Salt to taste

Instructions for Egg Biryani in a Pressure Cooker: 

 

Step 1: Saute the Spices
