1 teaspoon garam masala

1 bay leaf

4-5 whole cloves

4-5 green cardamom pods

1-inch cinnamon sticks

1-2 Mace (Javitri)

1-2 Star Anises (Chakraphool)

4 cups water

2 tablespoons ghee or vegetable oil
